Making Disciples of Jesus

SINCE 2009

Our pastor planted Hope Christian Church on September 13, 2009, with a handful of people in attendance for that first service. He dreamed of building a church with a simple goal; reaching those far from Christ and discipling them to grow in their faith. With the help of people committed to seeing that dream fulfilled, the church has grown into a faithful church family. In 2020, our church began streaming services during the pandemic, and our reach continues through this platform.

Our Leadership Team

The staff and leadership at Hope Christian Church is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church. If you have any questions for any of our staff, feel free to reach out and email them or call our church to speak with them. You can contact the church office at hopechurchscv@gmail.com

Our Beliefs

Hope Church Doctrinal Statement

At Hope, you will hear the word “gospel” repeatedly because it is the most important truth that we can know and experience. The gospel is not merely a message that needs to be shared with non-Christians, but also with followers of Christ. It is not something that mature Christians move on from, but rather something that they move deeper into. The gospel is also the lens in which we view theology, ministry, and all aspects of life. Simply put, the gospel is all about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, and the implications it has for us.

  • We are theologically reformed, and in as much, we trace our theology to the Protestant Reformation in the 1500's. This historical, conservative theological tie to the Reformation means that we are often called Reformed Baptists
  • We ascribe to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, of which C. H. Spurgeon said, "Here the youngest members of our church will have a body of Truth in small compass, and by means of the scriptural proofs, will be able to give a reason of the hope that is in them."
  • We understand that the entire story of redemptive history can be seen as God unfolding His covenant of grace from Genesis 3:15, into its fruition in Christ.

It is God, not man, who belongs at the center of our thoughts and view of the world. And it is God’s glory alone that is to occupy first place in our motivations and desires as His children. He created us and the world for Himself, and He redeemed us for Himself. Our purpose is to glorify Him!
