I started teaching at New Hope in 2022 as a high school OAL Teacher. I have been involved in leading New Hope student adventure based field trips in the past. I attended 7th grade at NH and after returning from a 3 year mission trip in Ireland with my parents in 1996, I finished 10th, 11th, and 12th grade at New Hope. I graduated from New Hope in 1999. I graduated with an Explore Wilderness Leadership Certificate in 2000 from Prairie Bible College (now known as Prairie College) and a BA Ministry Wilderness Leadership in 2003 also from Prairie. In the past I have directed Christian adventure camping programs for 2 different non-profits. I have been an Outdoor Adventure Leadership instructor at Rogue Community College since 2009. My wife Heather and I have two beautiful daughters who also started at New Hope this year. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my family and friends. My favorite activities are rock climbing, surfing, whitewater kayaking, backpacking, & hunting. I have a passion for challenging others through adventure based outdoor activities and using experiential education to teach students in a way that impacts their lives and the lives of those around them.
